Say no more. Just grab another cup of that black gold.

What are brands to us? And what do the kids think?

May I share with you all one of the cutest things: a 5-year-old identifying brand logos. She has a lot of good points regarding these famous symbols. Cheetahs, baby toys, a turkey and marble items.

Advertising sure is a powerful tool and an influential industry. It made M become M as in McDonalds. Say no more.

NBA: The Evaluation.

NBA, all I can say: badabababa I'm lovin' it!

Atmosphere: Cheerful and happy.
Seats: Level 4. Gotta work our way down.
Munchies: Dippin' dots (so weird, so good) and Cracker Jack.
Foam finger: B2 got one.
Too bad: Wizards lost.
Most devoted fans: The Knicks fans.
Happiest person present: Apart from B1 and B2, Mr. Dance Camera.
Most unexpected: Chicken sandwiches falling from the ceiling in parachutes (I kid you not, I love this country).

Total grade: five out of five basketballs.

Now: Basketball for All!

Near Big Arena. Now Begins Amusement. Need Beer Anyone? Not Bad at All.

When you read this, your devoted blogger is @TheVerizonCenter in Washington DC, experiencing yet another cultural biggie, enjoying (hopefully) her first game of NBA. Oh yes, it stands for National Basketball Association, none of that bullshit above.

The Washington Wizards – a team from what I've heard cannot perform magic at all, which was good for us, because the tickets were cheap – are playing the New York Knicks. My basketball knowledge is rather limited – I know that a dunk is something good – so I will just follow the crowd. Go Wizards, I will shout when everybody else do.

Go Wizards, GOOOO!!!

Not so Brilliant Artwork – I know, but it's from the arena.

To let the silence speak.

Certain things we say are just so odd. Did you ever think about that? For instance, when facing a difficult or hopeless situation, I often find myself saying it is what it is. Well, of course it is. What would it otherwise be?

I don't know. I guess it's just a feeling of having to talk. Always having something to say, even when words are not enough or maybe even unnecessary. Maybe, it's better to let the silence speak every now and then.

I don't know. It is what it is.

Speaking of the power of music...

...I am so much in love with that cute little device that make it all possible. Yes, I am completely Applified.

Reading Recommendation.

For those of you interested in the streets of DC, I would suggest an interesting and, in my opinion, well-written story from yesterday's Post. The story is to be found HERE, if you don't have the printed copy.

Monday message: think and do.

Workout inspiration.

Last semester, I spent most of my days enjoying life at my campus' fitness center. Now, while working in DC Monday through Thursday, I never have time to go there, thus have to settle for the newly refurbished workout facility in our apartment complex.

Too bad, the gym is not really delivering as I hade hoped. Apart from the cardio machines, there is only one more machine, the one I truly despise; it hurts and it's useless. And for the squash hall I have just ended up with a big question mark. However, the other day I realized I could use it even though I don't play squash.

With my ipod and my imagination, I entered the big room and played around for 40 good minutes. I think that could be a good routine. You do what you can with what you've got. What I could make good use of now is just some workout inspiration and new ideas. Do you have any? Please let me know.

Without my workout, I don't function.

Wooden floor, just like back home in the Great Sea Hall.

Easy access to a treadmill is quite convenient.

See that white dot between the buildings, to the right? That's the US Capitol.

The view while running isn't too bad.

Here we go – Super Bowl virgins, no more!

I admit it, we didn't pick the right venue for the event, falling for the temptation of visiting our beloved Busboys. But I did just enjoy the most amazing salad and I have contributed to the beer consumption while glancing at the incredibly expensive ads; $3.5 million for a :30 spot. We might possibly change location to get a better feeling of what this is about.

Anywho, here we go. Super Bowl virgins, no more!

Here we go!

Not very Super Bowly, but super tasty!
